Our History
Precis Petite® was founded in 1959 by a team of passionate designers who recognized the need for chic, well-made clothing tailored to fit petite body types. At the time, most brands overlooked the needs of petite women, offering limited sizing and poor fits.
Determined to change the status quo, our founders opened the first Precis Petite® boutique in London, offering a revolutionary concept: clothing thoughtfully designed for the 5’3″ and under frame.
The boutique was an immediate success. Petite women flocked to Precis Petite®, thrilled to finally find flattering, fashionable pieces made just for them.
Encouraged by this enthusiastic response, we steadily expanded over the following decades. More boutiques opened across the UK, allowing us to bring our perfectly fitting petite styles to women nationwide.
Today, Precis Petite® operates over 50 boutiques across the UK and Ireland. Our collections are also available online, shipping to petite women worldwide. Through our growth, our commitment to the petite customer has never wavered.
